The Waynesville Tiger family will have a member this season as the volleyball team will welcomed Megan Callis as the new head volleyball coach.

Callis has coaching experience at the club level where she coached for Club 573 the last year.

She is a local from the area as she played four years at Rolla High School. After her high school career she continued to play at Central Methodist University in Warrensburg.

When she was asked what kind of players she would like, here is what she said, “I want my players to work hard on and off the court. I want volleyball players who are continually pushing themselves and their teammates to be better and will not settle for complacency.”

She comes into the program as a young coach with potential. She said this about her goals at Waynesville, “One of my long term goals is to help build the Waynesville Volleyball program into a successful one and hopefully earn some championships along the way.”

When asked if she could give someone advice, here is what Callis said, “Stay true to yourself and strive to continually evolve your coaching philosophy.”

When asked what she plans to bring to the Tigers Program, she said, “I plan to bring enthusiasm, a since of family, and accountability to the program.”
