Two Frisco League schools announced last week several players on the 2018 Class 1 All-Regional soccer team. The Crocker Lady Lions and Laquey Lady Hornets both combined for seven spots on the region 3 team.

The Crocker Lions finished the year with a 9-9 season record. They fell to a strong Belle Tigers team in the first round of districts by penalty kicks at the end of the game 0-1.

The Lady Lions were represented by junior defender Macey Connell, senior forward Michaelyn Porter, junior goal keeper Maggie Fancher and sophomore midfielder Morgan Wall.

Macey Connell competed in both basketball and soccer for the Lady Lions. She was a starter for both teams. She was a strong part of the defence this season.

Morgan Wall was also a multi sport athlete in softball, basketball, track and soccer. She was a key player on the team with here quickness.

Michaelyn Porter will be competing to play soccer in college this next season. She was one of the team leaders this last season.

Maggie Fancher was the last line of defence for the Lady Lions. She had and outstanding season as the goal keeper. She will be a great asset next year. 

The Laquey Lady Hornet ended their season with a 9-13-1 record. They competed in Springfield for their district games. The girls defeated the Greenfield Lady Blue Jays 1-0 in overtime in the first round but fell to Fair Grove in a 1-2 loss in the next game. The Laquey girls had three players on the All-Regional team. They were sophomore forward Makenzie Skidmore, freshman midfielder Acacia Rice and sophomore midfielder Alexia Cressel.

Makenzie Skidmore was a key player in the Lady Hornets offence. She was able to score and assist on several goals this last season.

Acacia Rice was a multisport athlete who not only competed in the Cross Country State Championship, but was a leader on the soccer team. She was one of only two freshmen selected.

Alexia Cressell was a strong midfielder and she also competed for the Lady Hornets on the softball field, basketball courts, and was another competitor in the 2017 Cross Country State Championship.

New year will be a good year for both team as only one player on this list will be moving on to college.
