The Crocker Lions and Dixon Bulldogs met for one last time in the coach pitch division for the summer season. Both of these teams were evenly matched up and the Lions were able to win the game 4-1.
The Crocker Lions came out and began the game by scoring the first three runs. Crocker led 3-0 after the top of the first inning. The Bulldogs were unable to get a runner across the plate and still trailed by three after the first.
Both teams defenses were strong in the second inning as the Lions and Bulldogs were unable to get anyone across the plate. The score remained at 3-0 Crocker.
The Lions and the Bulldogs both had runners on base in the third inning but they were unable to have anyone cross the place again and the score was still 3-0 in favor of the Lions.
The fourth inning was also scoreless and the game score remained the same.
The fifth inning broke the scoring drought when the Crocker boys managed to score one across the plate and increase their lead to 4-0. The Bulldogs responded back with a run of their own in the bottom of the inning. The score after five innings was 4-1 in favor of the Lions.
The six inning is another where both teams had runners on base but some good defensive teams made for quick innings. The score remained 4-1.
The seventh and final inning was a crucial one for both teams as the Lions did not score in the top of the inning. The gave the Bulldogs a chance to get back on top. Dixon managed to get a runner on base in the bottom of the seventh but could not advance them.
The Crocker Lions won the game 4-1 in a great game to close the season off.
