The FLW Meddac team and the CTC team competed in Tuesday in intramural softball. The game was a high scoring one as both teams combined for 28 runs on the night.
The game began with Meddac team scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. That gave them a 2-0 lead after the first half inning. The CTC team was unable to get a batter across the plate and continued to trail 2-0 after the first inning.
The second inning was another big one for the Meddac team as they scored six more run to increase their lead to 8-0. The CTC hitters were able to get a batter across the plate in the bottom of the second inning. That cut the Meddac lead to 8-1 after two innings.
The Meddac hitters did not score in the top of the third inning and the score remained the same. The CTC hitters added two more runs to their score to cut the game to 8-3 after three innings.
The fourth inning was another good one for the Meddac team as they scored six more runs. To increase their lead to 14-3 after the first half inning. The CTC was unable to answer back as they were unable to score. The score remained 14-3.
The Meddac team was unable to add anymore runs in the top of the fifth inning and the score remained the same. The CTC hitters found their swing in the bottom half of the inning and was able to cut the lead to 14-8.
The Meddac hitters were able to secure lead and the win after they scored five innings in the top of the six inning. They increased their lead to 19-8. The CTC hitters score one more run but could not overcome the lead.
The Meddac team won the game 19-9 in six innings.
