Waynesville High School students from the Freshman Mentor Program (FMP) and students from the WHS Band Service Team participated in leadership training with the school’s Partners in Education at Fort Leonard Wood. Students spent the morning of July 17 on the "confidence course" and the afternoon in a leadership seminar and discussion.

“We are so thankful for the resources our PIE partners provide to our students,” said Jim Stockmann, WHS band director. “The physical activities paired with the classroom work elevate our student leaders to a higher level of understanding about what it takes to succeed. Our partnership with the military helps significantly advance our program in a short time.”
