At East Elementary School in Waynesville, and a $6.9 million project for the 500-plus students at Kennett High School in Kennett, Control Technology Solutions deployed helicopter-enabled rooftop lifts of a combined total exceeding 60 rooftop units for the schools’ heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) needs. This allowed CTS to install the HVAC systems in one day to speed project completion.
CTS’ comprehensive energy-saving renovations at the schools also include energy efficient lighting, increased insulation R-values, new exterior doors, replacement windows, plumbing upgrades and associated repairs. Computerized, web-based control systems allow facilities staff to monitor and control HVAC systems via the internet for greater operating efficiencies and responsiveness. CTS offers special expertise in “open technology” for web-based control systems, allowing multiple manufacturers of temperature control products to be integrated into a single web-based system.
St. Louis-based CTS provides turnkey design and construction services that deliver modern, comfortable facilities which operate more efficiently for K-12 schools, colleges and universities, government, correctional and healthcare facilities, and commercial property. Launched in 2000 with four employees, CTS today employs 25 professionals serving clients in the Midwest with satellite offices in Tulsa, Okla.; Des Moines, Iowa; Chicago, Ill.; and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.
