The Maneuver Support Center (MANSCEN) and Fort Leonard Wood (FLW), in conjunction with the Fort Leonard Wood Lions Club, will hold a St. Nick’s Benefit ceremony from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Grant Hall, building 2100.
Now in its 29th year of operation, the purpose the Lions Club program is to provide gifts to less fortunate children and special needs adults from Fort Leonard Wood and the surrounding communities.
More than 800 gifts are expected to be presented. The Boys and Girls Town Choir of St. James and the 399th Army band are scheduled to provide entertainment during the ceremony.
According to Lisa Clinton, event organizer, “The Fort Leonard Wood Lions Club is proud to sponsor this event.”
Gift donations are still being accepted for this event.
Gifts in the price range of $30 to $50 may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday on Fort Leonard Wood at the Army Community Service building 486.
For those who are short on time, tax deductible donations are also appropriate, and the Lions Club will do the shopping for you.
