A semi-truck carrying a load of ammunition overturned on Interstate 44 early this morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that around 5:37 a.m. a 2003 Freightliner driven by Roland D. Walden, 53, of Hermann, traveled off the right side of the road. The truck struck a guardrail, traveled up an embankment and hit several trees before overturning.
The truck also had a small fuel leak, but it did not pose a risk.
Walden was transported to St. John’s Hospital, Lebanon, by the Pulaski County Ambulance District.
He sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The semi-truck was later removed by Jack’s Towing.
