Snowy roads cause woman to hit embankment
LEBANON— A St. Robert man was transported to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital after the driver of the vehicle he was in lost control around 6:40 p.m. Sunday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 19-year-old Heather McCoy of St. Robert was driving east on Interstate 44, about 13 miles east of Lebanon, when she lost control on the snow-covered road, went off the right side of the road and struck a rock embankment.
McCoy was not reported to be injured in the accident, but her passenger, 20-year-old Tyler Drewry, was moderately injured and transported to the hospital by St. John’s Ambulance.
Both were reported to be wearing seat belts.
The vehicle, a 2002 Ford, was totaled and removed by Rothmund’s Towing.
Driver loses control, flips, hits tree
DIXON— A Dixon man lost control on the snow-covered road around 7:50 a.m. Monday morning, sending him to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Bradley K. Odgers, 21, of Dixon, was driving west on Missouri 28, east of Route O, when he lost control of his car, ran off the left side of the road, hit a ditch, overturned and hit a tree.
Odgers, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital with minor injuries.
His vehicle, a 2006 Honda Civic, was totaled and removed by Roy’s Wrecker.
