During a special board meeting, the Board of Trustees and Administration of the Pulaski County Health Department have elected to change the hours of operation.
This change stems from budget cuts and changes to various departments throughout the health department.
Although the hours of operation have changed, the Health Department services still will be available 42 hours a week.
The new hours will be Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
Nurses will be available on Mondays during Open Clinic, Wednesday for Immunization Clinic and Tuesday and Thursday by appointment only.
Nursing services will not be available on Friday.
Vital Records will be available each day during office hours.  The new office hours coincide with the WIC hours of operation and therefore the WIC scheduling will not be affected.
These changes take effect on Aug. 1.
If anyone has questions on the new hours and schedule you can contact the Pulaski County Health Department at 573 736-2217.
