Health insurance will top the agenda at the St. Robert Board of Aldermen meeting Monday evening. The board has previously held off on making a health insurance provider decision, waiting for other options to fully be explored. The board had voted Dec. 15 to continue with current provider, Mercy Health Plans, for 30 days, while those options were considered. On Dec. 30, the Finance Committee agreed to recommend Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as a new provider of employee health insurance. Though Mercy Health Plans ultimately lowered its rates for the renewal option, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield still had the lowest costs, while providing fair coverage to individuals and families. The Board of Aldermen will consider and possible take action, on the Finance Committee’s recommendation. Vision and dental insurance, however, was approved during its Dec. 15 meeting. In other business, the board will consider the following: • Taxi Cab operator’s license permit appeal. • An ordinance amending the City of St. Robert manning and staffing chart. • An ordinance approving the form of and authorizing the mayor to execute an agreement between the City of St. Robert, Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission and the City of Waynesville. If approved, it will provide for marketing for airport commercial service funding in the amount of $63,000. The St. Robert Board of Aldermen will meet at 5 p.m. Monday inside the St. Robert Municipal Center, 194 Eastlawn Ave.
