Waynesville Rural Fire Protection District and Pulaski County Ambulance District responded to a call in the Briar Pointe West Way area Tuesday afternoon. According to eye witnesses and Waynesville Rural Fire Protection District Chief Doug Yurecko, a man was injured when a tree fell on him. According to neighbors, the man was trimming trees while another worker was digging a ditch. The area is undergoing some infrastructure work by TLC Construction. The man trimming the tree was pinned under the tree causing injury. Yurecko confirmed the victim was transported to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital to be flown to Columbia for treatment.
