A trailer park in Waynesville will soon be replaced by single family housing.

The Waynesville City Council approved a rezoning classification for the Dogwood trailer park Thursday evening.

The measure changed the 2.5-acre property, located on Booker Road, from an R-4 designation (manufactured housing) to an R-1 designation (single family residential).

The property is slated for single family housing and is part of the city’s comprehensive plan.
There was a public hearing Oct. 13 before the Waynesville Planning and Zoning Commission, but no comments were received at that meeting.
