Two suspects are in the Pulaski County Jail on $100,000 bond after allegedly robbing a home and ramming their borrowed car into the victim's vehicle as they fled the scene.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department arrested Stephen Gordon, 52, of East Rochester, NH, and Danielle F. Stempert, 27, Valdosta, Ga, shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday. The suspects were taken to the Pulaski County Jail.
Gordon and Stempert have been charged with robbery in connection with an incident reported Monday. Deputies responded to a residence at 20725 Highway 28 in Dixon after receiving a report of a burglary in progress.
A second call from the homeowner at that address reported that a white female in a vehicle had rammed his car. The homeowner was able to give deputies a vehicle description and license plate number.
Sheriff J.B. King said deputies searched the home to make sure no other suspects were still inside the residence. Meanwhile a reserve deputy located a vehicle matching the victim's description at a residence on Birch Tree Circle in St. Robert. The homeowner was able to provide names of the two people who had reportedly borrowed the car that used in the alleged burglary.
The homeowner gave the deputies permission to search her residence. Deputies found several items matching the description of items that had been stolen during the burglary.
