Two soldiers from Fort Leonard Wood will participate in the 2009 U.S. Army Soldier Show.
Spec. Julio Peterson, 795th Military Police Battalion, and Staff Sgt. Nakita Fox, 58th Transportation Battalion, will appear at Gammon Field at 7:30 p.m. to entertain the community with “Lights! Camera! Action!”—a Soldier Show that will give the audience the excitement of feeling a part of a live television studio.
Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and Fort Leonard Wood invite the public to celebrate Independence Day with the service members at Gammon Field prior to the Solider Show. Concessions begin at 3 p. m. along with performances by The Islanders, a two-piece steel drum band.
A host of games for kids and a variety of booths will entertain guests throughout the afternoon. Be sure to visit Lester the Balloon Maker, Body Art by Susan, Jeff Mandell featuring Carica-Tees, Trucker Hat Toon and Mug on a Mug.
The Salute to the Union begins at 7 p.m., followed by the Soldier Show at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m.
