Four people were arrested Sunday after police located heroine and cocaine in a Waynesville residence.

Officers were working  a separate case that led to the drug bust.

Waynesville Police Chief Bob Carter said the department received information that a suspect in the Waynesville Cinema 8 car break-ins was at a residence in the city. The suspect, who is not being identified pending the filing of formal charges, was found at the residence, the location of which has not been disclosed.

Officers received consent to search after viewing drugs in plain sight, and as a result also found additional drugs and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

The suspect admitted to breaking in to two cars in the movie theater’s parking lot on Jan. 31 and told officers where to locate the items he had taken.

“We’ve located items stolen from the vehicle, with the exception of one item,” Carter said.

The suspect and three others have been taken into custody and are being held in the Pulaski County Jail.

Once the state files formal charges, their names will be released.
