Now that St. Robert city leaders have approved final changes to the medical clinic planned for St. Robert City Hall, all that remains before construction begins are the plans from the architect.
“We’re on schedule for the Dec. 1 opening,” St. Robert City Administrator Alan Clark said Wednesday.
“This is moving along a lot like the pool did. We’ll get the plans and be ready to go.”
During their last City Council meeting, St.Robert leaders approved an expanded floor plan of the clinic and the government’s lease agreement for the center that will serve active military personnel and their dependants. The approval included expanding the floor plan from about 9,000 squre feet to 11,300 square feet.
The primary-care clinic will include 19 examining rooms, a pharmacy, a laboratory, doctors offices, an immunization area and more.
The city will lease the space for about $8.44 per square foot, or for about $11,347.67 a month. Those figures include $950 for utilities, another $550 for Internet use, $550 for telephones, $1,000 for janitorial service and a common area maintenance fee of $350.
The alterations to the rear of the old Walmart store, according to the contract, are not to exceed $600,000.
Clark estimates the design plans to return from Ireland Architects about mid-September.
