The annual award presented to a St. Robert police officer for exemplary duty was awarded this week during the city's Board of Aldermen meeting.
Police Chief Curtis Curenton presented this year's Wogan Award to officer Shane Moore.
The Wogan Award was named after retired SRPD officer Daniel Wogan for his dedication, his leadership and hard work with the police force during 1979 to 2009. The award is given to those officers who exhibit the characteristics Wogan was known for during his years of service to the department.
In other business the board passed three ordinances.
• The board approved the application from Richard Vogt, owner of Inner City Cab for a taxi cab owner license.
• The board approved the agreement with the City of Richland for emergency mutual aid agreement.
• The board approved past due accounts for January 2001 to December 2004, deemed not collectible.
