On Feb. 2, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., the Waynesville\St Robert Lion Club met in Price Cutter restaurant and the meeting was called to order by Vice President Paul Corbett.
We had two guests and four members present. Lion Paul introduced the guest, Jim Logan and Summer Burgess.
The minutes and treasurer reports were passed out for review and approved as presented.
Committee reports were asked for and Lion Paul reported he had talked to the treasurer of the little league football and she told him they had stopped using the Lion Club Logo and had not used the tax ID since she learned the club was no longer their sponsor.
The club voted five years ago to withdraw sponsorship due to no member of the club was involved with that program. She also stated they would no longer use the club’s name for soliciting funds.
Lion Paul also reported the Pancake Breakfast for April 21 is in full mode and some members haven’t received their tickets as of today but he will get tickets out to them.
We plan to conduct a membership drive during the Community Activity on March 17, 2012; those that were present said they would help.
We are proud to announce that one of our new members stated he would take the chairman’s job of the Christmas Parade, Lion Paul said, “He would help and work alongside and support Lion Gilman as he plans the parade for this year”.
