Bessie L. Borchers, 78, of Farmington, formerly of Bonne Terre, died Friday, April 18, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 12, 1929, in Bonne Terre.
Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Griffin and Mary Griffin Pratte; two sons, Rodney and Russell Borchers; a daughter, Melody Borchers; three sisters, Mabel and Connie Sue and Rita Griffin Johnson; and two brothers, James and Jean Griffin.
She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Borchers of Farmington; daughters Brenda and husband Russ King of Waynesville, and Mary and husband Terry Isgrig of Bonne Terre; grandchildren Scott (Corky) King, Melody (Tim) Watts, Michelle (Darrin) Parke, T.J. Isgrig, Dawn (Darwin) Burroughs, Robin (Marvin) Mesey, Megan Borchers, Makayla Borchers and Makenzie Borchers; 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; sisters Norma Pettus and Nancy Mabery, and a very special sister, Rose Mary Neal; brothers Herbert, Pete, Vernon and Larry Griffin, and Joe, Wayne and David Pratte.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 22, at 1 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer Chapel, Bonne Terre, with Brother Randy Murphy officiating. Interment will be in St. Francis Memorial Park.
