The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that Judith I. Twente, 68, of St. James was killed in a car accident shortly after noon Friday.

Pevely man faces sexual misconduct charges

A 36-year-old man from Pevely is free on $250,000 bond after turning himself in to face five charges of sexual misconduct involving a child.

Easton charged with embezzling $70K from American Legion

Welcome back to another column. I hope to have some good information to pass on today and maybe a laugh or two. So once again where do I start? Shall I mention the fact that as of Saturday we have suddenly jumped up to 55 inmates in the jail. For the last several weeks we had been around the 46 per day mark and then, bang, several arrests and we are up again.
