Does it get dark way too early these evenings? Seems to me like it does. That’s OK,  I just go to bed earlier.
I had a very nice call from a handsome young man on Monday last. That would be the oldest of my nephews, Steve Davis. I had a couple of nieces before there were any nephews.
I was ever so happy to hear from Steve. He sounds so much better than he had the last time.
Steve told me his brother, Ron, had been very ill. We ask for all your prayers for him. Ron and most of his family were in Missouri to help his Aunt Josephine Brandon celebrate her 85th birthday. He seemed so well then.
Chatted with Vicki VanSpeybroeck early in the   week, also. She is doing fairly well. Keep her in your prayers.
I attended the visitation for Blanche Steward last week. It was good to see her family.
My brother Bob and sister-in-law Gayle Brandon drove down from Clinton  to visit with the family.
You will recall Jack had lost his wife, Shirley, recently.
I had just heard today, of the passing of Jerry Hendrix. Jerry was the son of Grace Elam Hendrix and the late Herbert Hendrix. Grace had lost another son, Richard, a couple of months ago. We extend our Christian love and sympathy to all that family.
Elvis visited with Randy Wilson and some of his family including his brother, Larry Ogle, his nephew, Shane Ogle.
We had a good crowd for Sunday School at Independence Baptist today. I believe Heather said 39 folk. There were several more for church.
They may have to separate Jewellene Shortell and I. It seems like we may be going to get some of the babies in trouble.
The Shoe Box gifts were ready to be shipped today. They sure looked beautiful. Someone sure did a lot of hard work on them.
We missed Delores and Tom Avery at church today. We keep them in our prayers, if they be on a trip or if they be ill.
We have many on our sick list. Ethel Wilson , Katherine Portell, Ralph Wimberly, Betty Winfrey, Rob White, Sharon Shortell, Betty Asher Shew,Randy Phillips, Barbara Perkins, Iola Rayl Pearson, Sue Paul, Wanda Parker,  Charla Parker Baker, Monica Moore & Family,Buddy McDaniel, Veda Asher, Cleo Helms, Della Howlett any and all who crave our prayers.
And Jesus said “I have no greater joy than this: to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 1:4
