LAQUEY— One point. Look at the stat sheet— surely, that’s a misprint.
But no, it’s exactly correct: The Crocker Lady Lions only scored a single point in the second quarter against Laquey in their 40-35 win Thursday night.
Poor shooting and rebounding made the second quarter of an already excruciating first half even worse. Nothing seemed to be going right.
So how did the Lady Lions respond to that bad quarter? Anger? Frustration?
None of those.
“No, we knew we could do it,” junior guard Ashley Bogle said. “We just had to get out there and prove it.”
