St. Robert City Administrator Alan Clark will present on Monday to Park Board officials two plans for a municipal golf course.
The meeting, at City Hall, begins at 5 p.m.
Both courses are par-3, nine-hole links that could be completed as early as next summer, Clark said.
“If approved, our plan is to begin clearing the fairways this fall so we can seed (the grass) next spring,” he said.
Two sites are being considered: The 25-acre old Hamilton Farm site, which the city owns just south of City Hall, and the recently lease-purchased site adjacent to Plattner Park.
“Honestly, I really prefer the 25-acre site. It’s more part of the central city theme that we’ve been trying to build,” Clark said.
“The other site has steep terrain, and it may be a little more difficult for seniors than the (Hamilton) site.”
Cost also plays a factor, Clark said. The Plattner site base price is $618,926, and the Hamilton site base price is $375,558, two which Clark said that is without the proposed artificial-turf tee boxes and putting greens.
