Playing in front of numerous college scouts, the number four ranked Nixa Eagles downed the Waynesville Tigers Friday night 73-32.
Led by their “big three,” Austin Ruder, Kameron Bundy (who has committed to Drury) and Jalen Norman, they combined to score 43 of Nixa's points.
The young Tigers got off to a slow start as the Eagles (7-1) jumped out to 13-0 lead just three minutes into the game.
After a dunk by Norman, the Tigers were able to put some points on the board but Nixa closed in the first quarter on a 6-0 run, leading 23-6 after one.
The Tigers recovered in the second quarter but by that time the Eagles were rolling behind after another dunk by Norman and led 43-16 at halftime.
Nixa scored in the 20's for the third straight quarter and led going into the fourth 64-23.
In the fourth quarter, both teams emptied their benches and the two teams combined for just 17 points in the quarter.
The Tigers were led by sophomore Javon Davis, who had 10.
