The Waynesville Tiger woes continue as they lost another close game, this time on Tuesday night to the Ozark Tigers, 60-55.
Waynesville (0-5), got off to a slow start in the first quarter, while watching Ozark run the floor and take 23-11 difference. The Tigers rebounded in the second quarter and cut the Ozark lead from 12 to seven by the time the second quarter ended, going into the half trailing 33-26.
Waynesville came out of the locker room to start the third quarter and opened up on an 8-0 run to take the lead at 35-33.
But Ozark regained the lead before the end of the quarter for a 49-41 advantage after three.
Waynesville was able to outscore Ozark in the fourth but a slow-down offense incorporated by Ozark ensured the victory.
Waynesville will take on Nixa on Friday night at home. Nixa is currently ranked fourth in the Class 5 polls and has three players who are ranked in the top 150 nationally.
