The Waynesville Lady Tigers held a 31-24 halftime lead in their first round game against Russellville on Monday night, but a 21-point Russellville fourth quarter spelled doom for them as they lost 58-46.
The Tigers (2-3) led after the first quarter 14-13. They were able to add to their lead in the second quarter and went into the half up 31-24.
But things began to unravel for the Tigers in the second half as they turned the ball over 17 times. Russellville mounted a comeback, outscoring the Tigers 13-8 in the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Russellville outscored the Tigers 21-7.
