Heavy snow around the area Thursday night and all day Friday cancelled school and area sporting events.
Here’s a list of games and events that were scheduled to take place yesterday but will be rescheduled:
-The Waynesville High School varsity/ junior varsity and freshman boys basketball games at Springfield Glendale have been rescheduled.
The games will be played Monday; the freshman game tips off at 5 p.m., with JV and varsity to follow.
-The Waynesville Middle School 7th and 8th grade boys basketball games at home against Camdenton Friday have been canceled, re-schedule date is unknown
-The Waynesville Middle School 7th and 8th grade girls basketball games at Joel E. Barber Friday have been canceled, a reschedule date is unknown
-The Dixon at Crocker basketball games, scheduled to be a triple-header between the boys JV, girls varsity and boys varsity teams Friday, have been postponed with makeup TBA
-The Iberia boys basketball game against Russellville has been rescheduled for today; tip-off will be at 3 p.m. in Russellville
-At press time, Laquey and Stoutland’s games in the Conway Tournament were scheduled to go on as planned. Laquey was scheduled to play at 7:30 p.m. while Stoutland was scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m.
-Laquey girls were scheduled to take on Fair Grove tonight; as of press time it was unknown if the game would be played.
If not, Laquey assistant coach Tasha Shores said the teams would try and reschedule for next week.
