One of the busiest summers ever for Missouri Science & Technology summer sports camps continues through July.
With the Joe Miner Sports Camp and the Miner boys’ and girls’ basketball camps having taking place in June, and the S&T track camp going on this week, several more S&T sponsored camps are still available.
The next S&T sports camp scheduled  is the Miner Football Camp, scheduled for next week on Thursday, July 10.
Following will be camps in soccer, track pole vault, volleyball, softball and boys’ and girls’ soccer.
All campers must have a physician’s statement confirming their fitness for athletic activity. Physical records required by the participant’s school are acceptable. Insurance company name and policy number for health and accident is required for enrollment.

Here is information on the remaining S&T camps:

FOOTBALL CAMP (July 10) — The football camp will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday, July 10 at the Missouri S&T football practice field, located immediately south of Allgood-Bailey Stadium. The camp, which is for students entering grades 3-7, will emphasize teaching skills for all positions, including kicking. All campers will received a Missouri S&T football shirt that will get that individual free admission to any home football game during the 2008 season. All players must provide their own shoes and mouthpiece; no other football equipment shall be worn. The cost of the camp is $25 and lunch will be included. Registration forms are available in the Missouri S&T athletics department; the final registration will take place at 8 a.m. on Thursday, July 10.
SOCCER CAMP (July 14-17) — The soccer camp will run from 5-6 p.m. for children ages 3-5 and from 6-7:30 p.m. for children ages 6-12 starting Monday, July 14 and ending Thursday, July 17 at the Missouri S&T Soccer Field. The camp is designed for participants to focus on learning the fundamentals in a fun environment. Campers will be grouped based on age and ability and age appropriate drills and games will be part of the camp. All players must bring a soccer ball, shin guards, water bottle and appropriate footwear; campers should also bring tennis shoes in the event of inclement weather for indoor sessions. The cost of the camp is $50 per camper, or $40 per camper with two or more campers from the same family. Registration forms are available in the Missouri S&T athletics department; the final registration will take place at 4 p.m. on Monday, July 14.
TRACK & FIELD POLE VAULT CAMP (July 14-16) — The track and field camp will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. starting Monday, June 14 and ending Wednesday, July 16 at the Missouri S&T track at Allgood-Bailey Stadium. The camp allows individuals to learn the fundamentals of pole vaulting, with the concentration on learning a proper drill series to improve technique in the event. The cost of the camp is $75. Registration and medical waiver forms are available in the Missouri S&T athletics department; the final registration will take place at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 14. Campers will need to provide or purchase their own lunch.
VOLLEYBALL CAMP (July 21-24) — On-Line Registration: All-Skills Camp (July 21-23) Advanced Specialty Camp (July 21-23) Little Diggers Camp (July 24)
The volleyball team will run three camps this summer. The first camp is a general all skills camp for boys and girls entering grades 6-12, while the second is an advanced specialty camp which will be for varsity level boys and girls entering grades 9-12. Those camps will start on Monday, July 21 and run through Wednesday, July 23. All campers will be required to bring appropriate footwear, knee pads and clothing for each session. The cost of the camp $175 for residents, $130 for commuters with meals and $90 for commuters with no meals included. A $60 deposit is required. There will be an additional $10 fee per camper for enrollment on the day the camp starts. Registration forms are available in the Missouri S&T athletics department; the final registration will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21.
In addition, there will be a Little Diggers camp for boys and girls entering grades 1-6 in the 2007-08 school year, which will take place on Thursday, July 24. The camp will start at 8:30 a.m. and run until 1 p.m. The cost of the camp is $45 and a snack will be provided for the participants.

SOFTBALL CAMP (July 21-23) — On-Line Registration: All-Skills Camp (July 21-23) Advanced Position Camp (July 21-23)
The softball team will run two camps this summer at the Missouri S&T Softball Field. There will be an additional $10 fee per camper for enrollment on the day the camp starts. Registration forms are available in the Missouri S&T athletics department; the final registration will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21.

BOYS SOCCER COLLEGE PREP CAMP (July 26) — On-Line Registration: Boys Soccer College Prep Camp (July 26)
The men’s soccer team will hold a college prep camp on Saturday, July 26 at the Missouri S&T Soccer Field. The camp will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and the focus will be on the development of technical skills and tactical awareness through the speed of play, small-sided and eight-on-eight games. The camp will also include information sessions on the recruiting process, player development and expectations for student-athletes at the collegiate level. The camp is open to all boys entering the ninth through 12th grade in the 2008-09 school year and all campers will be required to bring indoor and outdoor shoes, shin guards, a water bottle and appropriate attire for the weather. The cost of the camp $45 and all campers will receive a camp shirt. Registration forms are available in the Missouri S&T athletics department; those planning on participating should register by Saturday, July 19.
GIRLS SOCCER COLLEGE PREP CAMP (July 27) — women’s soccer team will hold a college prep camp on Sunday, July 27 at the Missouri S&T Soccer Field. The camp will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and the focus will be on the development of technical skills and tactical awareness through the speed of play, small-sided and eight-on-eight games. The camp will also include information sessions on the recruiting process, player development and expectations for student-athletes at the collegiate level. The camp is open to all girls entering the ninth through 12th grade in the 2008-09 school year and all campers will be required to bring indoor and outdoor shoes, shin guards, a water bottle and appropriate attire for the weather.
