Lebanon rallies past Lady Tiger softball

The Waynesville High School softball team got off to a solid start but couldn’t hold off the Lebanon Yellow Jackets on Tuesday, as the Lady Tigers were beating 10-3 in Ozark Conference play.

Waynesville fired out to a 3-0 lead after the top of the first inning. However, Lebanon countered with three runs in the bottom of the second to tie things up. The Jackets then took the lead with single runs in the third and fourth innings, four in the fifth and one in the sixth.

Lebanon outhit Waynesville 12-10 and took advantage of five Lady Tiger errors.

Savannah Davis had three hits and scored a run for the Lady Tigers while Diamond Thomas had two hits and an RBI, Jessica Kane had two hits and Laura Wood and Lesley Larson each scored a run.
Thomas was the losing pitcher for the Lady Tigers, allowing 12 hits and one walk while striking out three.

J. Ogle had three hits while D. Wilkerson and A. Armstrong each had a pair of RBI for Lebanon.
The junior varsity game finished in an 11-11 tie after five innings.
