The Pulaski United FC (Soccer Club) conducted its first-ever competitive soccer tryouts in Waynesville June 15 through June 19.
More than 90 soccer players ranging in age from eight to 17 from all over Pulaski County participated in the tryouts.
“We are very pleased with the number of players that came out and demonstrated their skills during the club’s tryouts,” said David Lowe, Vice-President of the Pulaski United FC.
The purpose of the Pulaski United FC is to develop, promote and administer the game of soccer for youth between the ages of eight and 18 years of age, as well as strive to elevate the standards of integrity, honor, loyalty, courage and honesty among the youth of our community.
Lowe added that, “Many of the club’s younger players will one day form the nucleus of the high school soccer teams throughout the county and some will go on to play soccer in college.”
The Pulaski United FC will be conducting its second week of competitive soccer tryouts for ages eight to 17 from Aug. 3-7.
The tryouts will be held at the Waynesville U-15 soccer field located across the street from the Waynesville City Park.
Registration will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. with the tryouts from 6 to 8 p.m.
