The Waynesville area will be well represented at the fourth annual Southwest Missouri All-Star Soccer Games, to be held Thursday, June 19 at the Cooper Soccer Complex in Springfield.
Several prep seniors of the 2007-08 school year from area schools are scheduled to be in action during the all-star games.
The girls’ all-star game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on June 19 while the boys’ contest is slated to follow at 8 p.m.
Waynesville’s Michael Davis is scheduled to compete in the boys’ game. Davis helped the Tigers finish with a 13-14-1 record this past fall.
Also competing in the boys’ all-star game are Crocker’s Nathan Rigsby and Michael Linggi.
Rigsby, an all-state athlete in four different sports during his Lion career, and Linggi, a Swedish exchange student, powered Crocker to a 15-6 record, a district championship and a spot in the Missouri Class 1 State Soccer Tournament Semifinals in only the program’s second season of existence this past fall.
Other area players expected to compete in the boys’ all-star game include Kam Maddy and Richard McNulty from Rolla and Adam Strong from Lebanon.
The Waynesville Lady Tigers, who finished as the Ozark Conference champions and had a 17-5 overall mark this past spring, have five players signed up for the girls’ all-star game.
Waynesville forward Katie Pritchard, who led southwest Missouri in goals scored this past season with 38 and who is the Missouri prep large-school all-time career goals-scored leader, is scheduled to play along with Lady Tiger teammates Sade’ Boswell, Lauren Kelly, Tash Lord and Shanna Neeley.
Other area players expected to play in the girls’ all-star game include Brianna Ragains, Brittany Hall and Abbey Roam from Lebanon and Rolla’s Kaitlin Bramel and Anne Drallmeier.
