Everett Fields, 49, of St. Robert was charged by prosecuting attorney Kevin Hillman with four counts related to a shooting incident in the early hours of Monday morning.

The injured individuals were Everett Fields, who was shot by a 9mm in the leg, and Kamica Leach, 29, of St. Louis, who was shot by a .44 magnum in the kneecap area.

Fields told deputies that he was afraid he was being robbed again, and when he answered the door, a male shot at him, according to the probable cause statement.

During a sweep of the home, the probable cause statement said that items that are consistent with the sale of unlawful substances were in plain view.

The probable cause statement said that Leach reported having had a verbal altercation with her boyfriend in which she asked him to let her out of the vehicle.

The probable cause statement reported that Leach told officers that a black male opened the door, she heard a different black male voice call her an expletive and then gun shots were exchanged which resulted in her injuries.

Officers obtained a search warrant and executed it on Monday.

A warrant was issued for Fields' arrest and the court set a $100,000 cash or surety bond. Fields is charged with multiple counts in this case.

The Sheriff's Department said the investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed.
