An Ashland woman who police say was drunk when she ran over a pedestrian in her pickup truck Saturday got out of her vehicle and yelled at the bleeding man, police said. Sheryl A. Flynn, 43, was arrested after the 6:05 p.m. accident in front of 297 Hollis St., police spokesman Lt. Paul Shastany said. The victim, whom police did not identify, suffered cuts to his face when he was struck by the Ford F-350 pickup truck, but the injuries could have been much worse. ``This guy was lucky,'' said Shastany. ``The truck went right over him, but because it's so large, and it went up on the snow, he didn't get hit by the undercarriage.'' Officer Richard Fuer went to Hollis Street and found a pickup truck in a snowbank and a woman leaning against it. He also found a man, whom he later found out was the victim, standing, holding his chin. The man said he was walking on Hollis Street when the pickup truck started driving toward him. He said it was going slowly and he thought it was going to pull over. ``By the time he realized it wasn't going to stop, he said he didn't have enough time to jump out of the way,'' Shastany said. After the truck struck him, it continued into the snow pile, the lieutenant said. The front grill was knocked off the truck by the impact against the snow. ``When the woman (Flynn) got out of the truck, she started yelling at him (the victim) after she had run him over,'' Shastany said. A witness told police she saw the truck driving erratically, swerving back and forth and going very slowly just prior to the accident. Flynn told Fuer she had drank two grapefruit and vodka drinks earlier in the night. Flynn, of 26 Wesson Road, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, a third offense, and driving a vehicle negligently as to endanger. She was also cited for a marked lanes violation. Shastany said Flynn was convicted in 1995 and 1998 of drunken driving. Flynn was ordered held without bail yesterday in Framingham District Court pending a hearing on Friday to determine if she is a danger to the public.
